baby shower cake question
what should we have written on the top of the cake? we just spoke to the woman making the cake and have to call her back this afternoon ... help!
Do we just put congrats and my name? Or should we put  's name? What did everyone do?

Hi :)
I think its a personal preference - no right or wrong here. I have seen it done a few different ways:
Congratulations ____ (and your name)
Showers of Happiness _____ (and your name)
Its a Girl ! or Its A Boy!!
I like the idea of putting the babies name on the cake. in fact, I think Id like them to do that for my shower :) not sure what the wording would be though...? lets see what others say ;)

yea i like the idea of having his name on it too, maybe there's a way to work me and him into the mix! i just dont know how to word it!

I didn't have a shower cake (just pastries, etc) but "showers of happiness" is probably the most popular.
I may be in the minority but I wouldn't want to have the baby's name on the cake....since they are not born yet....that's just my feeling though. I didn't want anyone referring to my baby as her name yet either until she was here....I just didn't feel right about it.
Also, the shower is really for you, as the mom-to-be, so if anyone's name would be on it, I'd think it would be yours

We put a cute little saying on the cake. My sister had a girl it went something like:
Pretty Dresses, Little Curls, Oh thank heaven for little girls!
