I am anon for this one since I am active on the boards - just need some help from you ladies. DH and I have been having problems and last night it got physical. He finally agreed to go to a therapist with me. Our issues pretty much started with the birth of DC and have escalated over the past year. Does anyone have a therapist or marriage counselor that they would recommend to me? Thanks so much.... We are looking in the Mineola/Westbury/Garden City area....or the city where we both work.
One of our moms (pugmama) is a counselor. Maybe she could recommend someone in your area?? I'm assuming that this was the first time it got physical, but if you feel at all unsafe, please know there are resources out there. FM me & I'd be glad to do the research & track them down if you need help.
Please keep yourself and your child safe...that comes before his need for help Stay strong and know that NOTHING should ever get physical This is a very difficult situation I am sure but please make sure you take care of yourself and your baby and worry about him secondary.
I used Life Works a few times - It's a resource that some companies offer to employee's. I've used them in the past and was pleansantly surprised with the counselors.
