Poor Alexandra, we think she has Acid Reflux
She has been crying almost non-stop for the past week. She's been really gassy, having trouble nursing w/o crying in pain, arching her back, pulling up her legs, and just generally unhappy. It's so hard to even console her.
The Pediatrician thinks she has AR & he prescribed us Axid. Has anyone else's child been on this med & if so what was your experience? He recommended it over Zantac, so I'm hoping it works.

So sorry to hear Andrea!  My Jacob has it too and he is on zantac which if u ask me has done absolutely nothing. There are so many babies lately with the AR its so disturbing.. I wonder why?? Its so hard to see our little ones in pain, there has to be something to alieviate it. Let me know how the axid works!

Hey you. I'm so sorry you guys are having such a rough time!!! I would bug you to see more pics, but I'm sure you've got more then enough on your plate.
I'm pretty sure Caitlin had acid reflux - I think mayeb they had her on Zantac though, but I'm not too sure. And my BF had a little girl in May and she had problems with that too. I think she might have been on Zantac or maybe prevacid? Does that sound possible? I'll ask her and I'll ask Christine (Mikie's wife).
When I visited my friend in NC after the baby was born, she was about at her wits end b/c the baby was so cranky and wouldn't sleep and she just couldn't console her no matter what she did. We all went there for dinner one night and she got a chance to talk to Mike and Chris about when Caitlin was little, and I think it helped her to know that it would get better. So, hang in there!!!!!!

Katie has reflux and is on zantac. I am sorry for you and Alex- it is really tough.

Axid, Zantac, Pepcid, Tagamet are pretty much the same. They are all H2 blockers.
Miranda started on Zantac and it didn't help.
Now she's on Prevacid which is a Proton Pump Inhibitor.
I hope Alexandra starts to feel better. I sympathize with what you are going through.

Katies symptoms were constant crying (if she was awake, she was crying), constant spit up, if we laid her down she would wake up crying and choking, crying and arching her back while she ate.
