We almost took a puppy home tonight!

DH and I were walking around the neighborhood when he sees this puppy. It sees us, comes running over and then flops on it's back for a belly rub. I pick her up and I'm smitten. Immediatly I'm thinking, "oh the pet store is around the block, we can get her a leash and she'll need puppy food! " DH says to knock on the door. I ring the bell 2 times, knock 4 times, nothing. Then he sees the gate is open. So I go in the backyard and see people on the deck. Turns out it was their puppy, but man, no collar on this little thing. She was so sweet, def. a pure breed maltese or something like that.

So moral of the story, put collars on your dogs and MAKE SURE THE GATES ARE CLOSED!!!
