IVF.....update
Well, Im spotting, and AF is supposed to show her ugly face sooner I thought this would be the month, a nice anniversary gift.
DH want to talk to our RE about doing IVF.
How long does it take to start?? I know my place does interviews, I guess it is more likea consult.
Anyone who is doing it, you can FM me. What was it like starting out?? Did you start out right away?
I dont know if we could start anyway, we are thinking about going on a cruise in a few weeks, so we may have to take this month off.

i didn't do it, but my RE said I could go straight to that if I didn't want tog et a Lap done...I would check to see what your insurance covers...

I'm scared to do this because I'm afraid it will be painful (the egg retreival).
Still didn't get AF yet....didn't test yet and due for it around Monday.

Thanks Flee....I think part of the reason that I haven't broken down to test yet is because I'm afraid of seeing a BFN....I'm not sure I can handle it.

Diane, there are lots of different protocols, so it depends on what your RE feels is best for your situation.
Some people have to do a month of Lupron before starting the ovarian stimulation drugs (stims), some do a couple of weeks of BCPs, and some just go straight to stims at the beginning of the cycle.
If you have ANY questions, feel free to ask!!!! I have no problem answering anything, and I've pretty much been through it all!

well, I have an appointment with my RE on Monday to discuss the details, and then we talk with the nurse (IVF coordinator) They told me that it will take up to 4-6 weeks to start the whole process.
In the mean time, DH are going to take a break this month and go away. I think to the Jersey Shore and Atlantic City.
I will update you on Monday.
