My FIL just bought the 06 convertible; you certainly can. It's really roomy!

Re: Any Ford Mustang Owners - New & Old
Yes you can!! I fit it into my 93 and now my 2001 the 2001 has special belts in the middle. My 93 needed an extra piece from ford (not $$$) for the seat to fit in the back.
Let me know if you have anymore questions I am a fanatic!

Those are roomier in back. We drove a convertible on our HM recently and I really liked it, the fact that there was more room.

When I was little my Mom had a 66 Mustang similar to this one...I loved it...and my Brother and I fit in the back with no problems.

Re: Any Ford Mustang Owners - New & Old
I had a 91 Mustang GT convert and I couldnt even imagine putting a rear facing seat in it. Forward facing, yes but rear no way... there was barely any room in my Acura MDX without my seat being pushed forward.

Re: Any Ford Mustang Owners - New & Old
I had a 2003 and although I had no need at the time to put a baby seat in it I know it would've been very, very tight for a rear facing. Regardless of if it fit or not there was no way in hell I was putting my baby in that car. It would fishtail. So as soon as I got pregnant I started looking for an SUV and put it up for sale. I stopped using it at 5 months preggo.

Re: Any Ford Mustang Owners - New & Old
I think the 2 doors of ours would make it chanelleging
and our is very fast and he is adding parts to make it faster- so by the time we have a baby- there is no way the baby is going in there- I don't even go in the car
ours doesn't ride smooth - it's more like a race car- I think the baby might be scared- I know I am-
