Problem with feeding......
Julia never had a problem finishing her foods before, she would eat everything in the bowl and some. Now when I feed her she looks like shes so excited to eat and she opens her mouth for the 1st bite, but then after that shes like a clam and wont eat. I have to almost force the food into her mouth but it gets all over her and I hate to force her to eat if she doesnt want to, its soooooo annoying because I want to make sure shes eating enough. I BF her but I know thats not enough for her. I dont know what to do? Any advice would be helpful! TIA

Re: Problem with feeding......
I am no expert on this AT ALL...but I would'nt try to force her. Sidney and Julia are the same age and Sidney eats very little solid foods. I'm told that a baby can just be BF'd for a year...not that I am suggesting that - I just mean that I don't think they need that much solid food. But - take into consideration that Sindey has been waking 3x a night this past month so maybe you should just disregard what I say

No I understand what you are saying, I know they can go for a year with just BF, but I felt it wasnt enough. Plus with the doctor asking me each month if shes eating her stage 2 foods I just figured she was so post to be eating more now. Julia went from sleeping threw the night, to now waking up 2x's to eat I guess its from her not eating as much during the day. I dont know maybe its her teeth thats bothering her too.

Re: Problem with feeding......
Sidney got a horrible cold 1 month ago and I think she got real used to me running to her in the middle of the night that she just keeps waking now. Who knows....sometimes when she wakes up she barely eats anything other times she chows down. So I am always 2nd guessing myself. Don't they say that solid foods don't have many calories anyway so she would get enough if you just BF'd her more if she didn't take the solids that feeding? Or is that just cereal? So confusing

I know its so confusing!! I know the foods dont have hardly any calories but I just felt better that she was eating more. I actually want stop BF as much as I was, so I was happy when she was eating all of her food, but to go back to fulltime BF will be... I dont know maybe shes just not in the mood, or just sick of the gerber foods.

Re: Problem with feeding......
I would probably go back to the fruits to get her eating again & then add in the veggies.
