I did. What would you like to know? The nurses in L&D were great. The ones on the maternity floor post-partum were okay. Ask any specifics you like!

That tiny little room outside the L&D floor - is that where family waits while you are in labor?? Or is there somewhere else they can be?

Re: Anyone give birth at Good Sam?
They are actually supposed to wait in the main lobby. There is no separate waiting area for L&D.

Re: Anyone give birth at Good Sam?
Do you stay in just one room for everything - labor, delivery, and recovery? Or do they move you for each?
Also, do you get your own room/suite? Or do you share with someone else? Do you have to share a shower and/or bathroom?

Re: Anyone give birth at Good Sam?
There is one room for labor, delivery and recovery (for approximately one hour after the birth) and of course this is a private room. If it happens to be a busy baby day at the hospital and all the LDR rooms are being used, then you have separate rooms for each (they move you to each one). After the one hour recovery they move you to the maternity ward where you share a room with one other person. You share a bathroom with that person and possibly another two person room (it depends which room you get). The showers are communal, with about four or five stalls.
