Had 1st Internal last night.....
Ok, I am 36 weeks pregnant, lost 2 lbs, I think that is b/c of all my nesting recently!  Anyway, I am 1cm dilated. I don't even know 100% what that means - is labor really close ??
Edited to say My due date is 9/7

Wow- not bad for 36 weeks.
You can be 1cm dilated for a long time, but you are 100% effaced- so thats a bonus. Im guessing you wont have to wait another 4 weeks. I would have your bags packd

I've been 1 cm since about 36 weeks too. I got my hopes up thinking I was going to go early. So far no luck!

They say you lose weight at the "end", sounds like you may be close. I lost 5 lbs. my last week before I went into labor.

That is very good -- I never dialated at all! I ended up having a c-section so who knows how long I'd have gone!
I also have to say that the big nesting instinct is a sign. Another thing I never got, lol! But my sister was cleaning like CRAZY the day that she went into labor. That night she was in labor hard core and her daughter was born the next day.
I say get out the vacuum cleaner if you want it to happen soon!
