Awkward Work situation
i am hating my job lately...I told you guys that the other girls at my level were laid off.. there last day here is next wednesday so today i was approached by the higher ups "am i taking care of there going away lunch" um do u not see how f*cking awakward that is?? i am so pizzed that im in charge of this...not to mention we come in to work and practically every site is blocked including..google, gmail..yahoo..hotmail..why dont i just shoot myself next, if they block lif i surely will

They prob think that you guys are pals & that's why they asked you. That's how it was at my last job...the managers did the parties for the managers, analysts for analysts, etc. The seniors just stopped by and said hi. Cowards!

Yeah, JMO, but if I got laid off, I would want to tell them to take their going away luncheon and shove it.

now THAT i think they appreciate LOL
i spoke to my direct boss and just kinda nonchalantly mentioned me planning the lunch..and hes like UR PLANNING THE LUNCH!? WHOSE IDEA WAS THIS?? lol he was LOLing..hes like thats going to be kind of weird dont ya think lol..hes gonna take care of it so we shall see what happens lol
