Should I still buy Striderite shoes?

Sindey has been walking since 10.5 months old (14 months now). Is it still recommended to buy striderite shoes for there flexibility etc.
I figure that I will need to buy 1 casual pair and 1 dressy pair of shoes for fall and the thought of dropping $100 on shoes that she will outgrow in months freaks me out.

Oh and can you post pics of shoes that you've purchased for fall and where you got them....thanks

I stuck with Stride Rite for DS everyday shoes, he's over 2 and not sure when I will stop.
(he's got a couple pairs from other places that he wears occasionally for dress or fun)

It is important that they are wearing the correct size, my son still needs shoes every 3 months or less and I am shocked when they measure his feet how it fluctuates.

All the makers size their shoes differently so just watch for that too.

I just got 2 $5 off coupons in the mail so that helps in their regular store, plus I go to the outlet.

ETS: I just noticed she is 14 mths, my son also started walking around 11 months but wasn't really spending alot of time on the pavement, I kept him in Robeez most of the time, unless I knew we would be outside and walking alot.

Patrick is still in Stride Rites & he's 5. My Mom used to say take care of your feet there the only ones you get. So, I make sure he gets better shoes. Though for Christmas I do go for the $5 Payless shoes. (He barely even wears them)

Not sure where you are but, there is a Sperry/Stride Rite outlet store in Lake Success Shopping Center on Union Turnpike. I know there is also one in Tangers Outlets.

My son still has Stride Rites too and he's 5... DEFINITELY go to the outlets... I've found that Stride Rite shoes hold up much much better than other shoes.

I really have no choice but to get Stride Rite - Jake has a wide foot and it is hard to find sneakers in wide. I just bought him a pair of sneakers and a package of socks from them this weekend and spent 60.00Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would spend any amount of money to put Jared in good shoes. It's so important to have them wear good shoes so they develop an arch. I would get an everyday pair of sneakers that will go with every outfit.

OK...so here's our problem. Sidney has such small feet (size 3) that Striderite only carries/makes mostly 5 and up for walkers. The store had very few choices for us. So I think the sneakers I got her are adorable BUT what do you think about the hole on top? This will probably last her till the end of the year so I'm worried her feet will get cold. She'd be wearing socks but do you think it would still not be warm enough?

Re: Should I still buy Striderite shoes?

I bought the traditional walkers at payless- only because we went to stirde rite and I had a gift certificate and everything and he would not walk in any of their shoes! I dont know why he just sat there and tried to take them off or he would revert back to crawling so we left because he wasnt cooperating at all. Then I went to payless found the traditional white walkers and tried them on him and he was off and running- he loves them, he brings them to me in the morning sometimes to have me put them on him-- 13.99 well spent!!!Chat Icon my son the bargain shopper!Chat Icon

I think those shoes should be fine. I want to get a pair like that for Emily's first shoes. They look like they will be easy to get on and off.
