Has anyone been to Jones Beach during a concert in a storm?
We are going to see Kelly Clarkson tonight and I am a little nervous. I called and they said the concert will go on as planned!

A long time ago. We saw Billy Joel - Storm front (how funny) well we waited for 2 1/2 hours then they decided to cancel the concert b/c of lightning

It was pouring when we saw Aerosmith once and we were sititng way on the top. We had a great time. I had a jacket and we just danced and danced in the rain.
It was a little hard to hear though

I saw Goo Goo Dolls, and others there 5-6 years ago during a wicked rain storm and it was awful! It was so windy! We were up on the top level, which was new at that time, and it was horrible.

i saw counting crows at jones beach in the rain- they had us wait in our cars & listen to an am radio station to be called in.
then we went back into the theatre when the rain stopped. the concert ended at 1 am - it was pretty good fun!

It poured like crazy when I saw the Allman Brothers and we had to leave. Then another time when I saw Steely Dan.

I have been to one where it rained and we had a great time. I was there another time in the rain and after about 4 songs it began to thunder and lightning so they made the band leave the stage. We decided to leave, but I know that a lot of people stayed and the concert continued about 45min later once the lightning had stopped.

Saw Goo Goo Dolls in a massive downpour. I dont think they really cancel shows unless there is lightening. Kinda ***** having to stand there in rain, but you make the best of it.
