What kind of lotion is it that you put on you to prevent stretch marks and when do you start?

Re: stretch marks

i would looooooove to know...

from what i hear there is nothing that will actually prevent them, lotions just may help soothe the skin and aid in itching. someone told me to look into almond oil, but i don't know if that's just another old wives tale or what Chat Icon !

Re: stretch marks

Ive always lotioned my belly - since the beginning - some days i've forgotten. In the beginning I used any lotion - bath n body, victoria secret - later on - i purchased Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion for stretch mark and i've been using that.

I heard stretch marks are genetic anyhow - but greasing up won't do you harm..lol
My first stretch mark actually appeared last week at 39 weeks!!

I put it on at night and rub it in until it is almost absorbed. then, I wear old tee shirts and sweats to bed. All of my "nice" pjs and nighties are put away for after the baby comes anyway. DH loves it. Chat Icon Chat Icon
