Locks Of Love..
Has anyone ever done this? A friend of mine is doing it and is looking for a salon who participates in the program. Any recommendations?

Just my thought but maybe bc there is unidentified chemicals in highlighted/dyed hair.

Hmm, makes sense I guess.. I didn't think about it to that extent...
It's a great cause regardless.. and I wish I wasn't so emotionally attached to my hair.. I would love to do something like that.

I am really emotionally attached to my hair, and I felt GREAT donating 15 inches of it to LoL in January!
I went to my regular salon.If I was going to get my first short haircut in a long while, it was going to be with somone I trusted. The LoL website has a list of participating salons that will give a free or reduced cut to LoL donators.

They took that off the site!
I cut all my hair off freshman year of college, did that meg ryan/drew barymore thing that was in back in 2000.. I vowed NEVER to go short again.. I hated it and will end up being the wacko 90 year old woman with long hair..lol

I kind of dont feel the same with short hair, and I loo at girls with long hair and I wantit. I was the kid who cired at every haircut.... but I do like how much easier short hair is to deal with and it was for a very good cause. When I see how much of my hair is gone, I know there's a little girl somewhere who is really grateful!

soo true.. the website could break someone's heart... I give soo much credit to those who do this.
15 inches.. how long was your hair honestly?! my friends is like to her butt and 10 inches is gonna give her shoulder length hair!

I donated and my hair had coloring in it. I believe it just can't be damaged. I'd check the salon maybe?

Can;t be bleached or chemically damaged
