I joined a new mommies group

Yesterday was my first session - it was really nice!! it is run by a social worker - its called "primarily for parents" at the JCC in Roslyn - really its a forum for moms to talk about things and help eachother out.

The same place offers a ton of classes for kids of all ages - so Talia will be a busy lady! At 6 months we are going to do swimming classes with her - and hopefully we'll start gymboree there next week or so.

Oh - I wanted to add - at the start of the class a woman comes in and plays guitar and sings...Talia LOVED it - she loves to stand (I have to balance her but she holds her own weight) well I held her up - and I am NOT kidding - she was stomping her feet - it was so funny we were all laughing hysterically!!!!

I am doing the same type of class at the Plainview Y but it is held at Temple Chaverim in Plainview.

I really enjoy the class. I feel that it is like a therapy session because all the moms talk about what's bothering them and you fell likeyou are not the only one with those feelings..

I started another class at a place called Lil Playmates in Plainview and this class is for babies. Jacob loved it. It is a structured class where there is so much stimulation. It is like Gymboree but a mom and pop one.

I am also starting a January a something called Mingling Moms.

Sounds like fun! I am looking into a music class starting in January and some other things to do with Miranda as well.
