Got the results from blood work. Long Sorry!
Well I spoke to the dr. She's not my normal dr., but she was very nice. She said that the progesterone levels were low, but that's okay, since everybody doesn't ovulate on day 14., and not all our cycles are 28 days. However, she was very concerned with my thyroid levels. She said she has never seen anything like it. So now I'm freaking out, and I think she knew where I was going with the questions I was asking, and she said that it's not from a growth or anything. I guess maybe it's not functioning at all. Your thyroid controls your hormones, and that could cause me not to ovulate and blah blah blah. I told her about the migraines I've been having, and the spotting, and she said that woman sometimes experience spotting from ovulating, or these could be early pregnancy symptoms. The blood work said I wasn't pregnant, but the egg could have implanted afterwards. I had the blood taken, Thursday, and experienced the spotting Fri. and Sat. I'm thinking that my progesterone levels would have been higher though, indicating that I did ovulate, and then maybe these symptoms would be early PG symptoms. I'm just really nervous and scared right now. My thyroid would make sense though. I've gained 7 lbs in 2 weeks!! Plus my mother has hypothyroidism. But I just got scared when she said she has never seen anything like it.

Maybe go into the office, sit down with the dr. and find out exactly what they mean. They should be able to specify what is going on and what you can do about it. At least they seem to have a starting point now though, you can move on from here.

I should have added that I do have an appointment next Tuesday, and I made an appointment with an endocronologist on Thursday. I guess I'll know more next week.

i agree with Gerty...sit down and go over it. A doctor who says something like " i never saw anything like this' without telling you your level etc...would only instill fear in a patient. I am medicated for hyperthyroidism...so if you have any concerns......i am pretty familiar with thyroid function and it's affect on fertility etc. Feel free to forum mail me when you get your levels etc. Btw, the thyroid controls a lot and...progesterone and thyroid function are very much related. I too have low progesterone but suppositories help that....it's easily remedied :)
