Billy Joel Fans
I have tried to get tickets in Ticketmaster and the only ones available are the ones behind the stage. I'm sooo disappointed. 
I really wanted to surprise my husband and have these tickets for his birthday. He loves Billy Joel's songs. It didn't matter to me what day it was as long as I got the tickets. I called and they said that the only ones available are single scattered.....which I wouldn't buy...or behind the stage......
If you bought tickets for any of his shows...did you buy them through Ticketmaster? Or where did you get them?
I didn't realize when they went on sale otherwise I'd have bought them long time ago.......
Any input is appreciated!

The first time I saw Billy Joel I had behind the stage seats and I truly enjoyed them! The stage was set up so that the main piano was center stage but he had two keyboard pianos on the back of the stage that spinned so he played to the people behind the stage!

Agreed.
Also, there are rumors that Billy Joel is going to add a 10th show, so you might want to wait and see about that. I'll keep the boards posted when I hear more.

I was going to say the same. I sat behind the stage and it was great!
ditto for me as well. We had such a fantastic view of him from where we were sitting behind the stage. And he sat at his piano a lot so we saw him the entire show (not just his back)

Thanks so much to all of those who posted. I guess he will probably be happy just being there. He has no idea that I'm trying to get these tickets for him so I bet he'd be pleasantly surprised.
And about those rumors....how soon is it going to be? Have you heard which month he's planning to add it? Please keep me posted even though I'd like to get them soon even if they are backstage.....I guess something is better than nothing.....

DH bought my tickets...I think through ticketmaster... The day they went on sale... (He said he started calling 15 min before and the lines were already busy...
Did you try ebay?
