Update- No interview tomorrow
I still am in a little bit of shock over it- but the HR person called and the position is no longer available- she wants to call me in the future blah, blah, blah
I just I should be thankful I didn't have to go all the way into the city to fine that out
I am telling myself everything happens for a reason-

I am sorry about that Beth. It sounds like this company needs to get their act together and at least they didn't let you come in anyway and just waste your time.
 You'll find something better!

thanks everyone- now I am off to look at new cars-
it realy all works out- I don't need to worry about a train ticket
I realized I don't have it so bad- I sleep till 8- get to work by 9am ( ok I try) and leave at 5pm
my new boss is nice and helpful- so I just just be thankful and happy!

your right- most people would not want go back to work in the city ( when I worked in the city - I lived in the city)

I forever want to live close to where I work. Right now I have a 10-15 minute commute to work, and it's so nice to get home quickly after a long day (and get to work quickly when I wake up late..every day).

Absolutely -- I commuted to the city for my first job out of college and it means NO free time Mon-Fri. Working and living on LI is so much easier.

I leave my house at 5:55AM, and pay the car payment, the LIRR payment, subway, and get home by 7pm. And DH asks, "why are you tired"  ....
