MIL question
Okay so a few weeks ago we were going to extend my inlaws house and then the whole deal went sour when my inlaws decided to jack up the price for all kinds of BS. Well things were left off sour BUT HELLO...I am still preggo. So before hand I had her and my mom coming to appts to see the sono pics. My dilemma.....she hasnt called to see if myself or the baby are ok in about 4 weeks. I know things are not perfect but take some interest. I am now wondering if I'd be in the wrong to not invite her anymore. I mean her lack of interest is evident.
p.s. she knows Ive been very sick with M/S and eye fluttering etc.

Sorry.
Not to hijack your thread, my MIL hasn't called me since I found out I was preggo to see how I was and I am 29 weeks. Oh and I had 20 weeks of m/s.

is this your first as well? I think its really sad that they are missing out on their first grandchild. I am not trying to punish her by her not going to the appt BUT... make some attempts...GEE WIZ!

my dh knows its wrong and hes so passive he could care less if she goes but IMO....what a way to start a family!

I would speak to your DH about it and maybe suggest that he call his mom and ask why she hasn't called to see how you are doing in 4 weeks. It's would I would do and I know DH would call his mom cuz I think he would be bothered by it as well.

Also, my MIL never called to see how I was when I was PG with my son Caiden or with this baby either.

I cant believe all the women in similar situations. Its really sad that families dont come together. I wasnt raised like that and when I look at my in laws its really makes me sick and to think other people have this...OY!

It's sad that she is being like that. This is her grandchild. I am not in your situation with my in-laws but I would be hurt too. Then I would just say "you know what, freak it, it's her loss" and I would concentrate on my brand new baby cuz in the end all that matters is your special bundle of joy. You can always send her an announcement and put a little note saying "just thought you'd like to know what your grandchild looks like"
Life is too short to focus on people's nonsense. Don't waste your time on your MIL, spend it on things worth it more like your new family.

I thought I was the only one whose MIL has shown no interest in her soon to be born grandchildren. i am 26 weeks Pg with twins, have been hospitalized twice and have yet to receive a phone call from Mommy-in-law Dearest!

my mil didnt didnt show any interest when i was pregnant with our first son and I know we werent married till i was 5 months and she told him not to marry me shes a witch lol but now almost 3 yrs later im pregnant again and she hasnt even congratulated me or asked me how im feeling so I give up. I think it was nice of you to invite her in the beginning but do what feels comfortable for you Mil arent all they are cracked up to be lol

I think you are all right. I told dh today shes not going to the next appt. I thought I was being petty before I heard the same kind of opinions like I was thinking. So when she blasts me on the phone...I will refer her to LIF...LOL

Oh my gosh thats exactly what she does, the one time he left his cell phone homee and she called and i answered it and shes like are you playing secretary. Not only does my MIL never ask about me, everytime i see her she complains she hates kids. Nice right. At least when we have kids they will have my parents because they are going to make great grandparents.

If she complains that she hates kids then I guess she hates her own.

Actually no thats the one thing about her, you know she loves her son. But she doesn't like small children. Especially when they are running around her house, dh's cousins have alot of kids. I know she doesn't makse sense.
