Seeing the doctor tomorrow (UPDATED)

I am going back to my old GYN tomorrow since I cannot go back to my previous OB that I dealt with during this pregnancy.
I am dreading having to fill him in on my story. I am also having some fears since I've been feeling weird pains for the past few days and I don't think they're "healing" pains. And my stomach still hasn't completely gone down and feels like there is a lot of air inside (that is the only way I can describe it).

On the other hand, I know I am due for my second AF since CJ's birth and that is when I will begin taking my temps. I wonder if the pain I have been feeling is that AF is due soon???
**************************************

Well, my Dr proved to me again why he is such a wonderful man. He hugged and cried along with me as I went through our journey over the past few months. I explained how I left his practice to begin with because of the idiot he works with and he will now be the ONLY doctor to ever see us. (other patients aren't that happy with the idiots bed side manner either). Since I will be a scheduled c-section, there is no need for me to have to see another doctor other than my him. Plus he already knows my fear about doctors.

He also alleviated my fears about other pregnancies. I won't be considered high risk since my membranes did not rupture on their own. But I will be monitored very closely. And I will have to be delivered around 34 weeks with any other pregnancy. They are going to have to see how big I would become since the classic c-section is so different from a normal c-section. Since the inner incision is up and down compared to across, it has a greater chance of busting.
But he made me feel so much better. So finally I can say I am happy with a doctor again

Oh, and the pains I have been feeling are normal healing pains that I should feel over the next few months. He thinks I am feeling them more intensely the past few days since AF began today. IT should take 4 months for everything to heal and for me not to feel it any longer. He also said grieving on top of everything will make the healing process a bit slower

I'm really sorry that you will have to relive your ordeal again. I'm sure that your GYN will understand if you don't want to talk about it.

Will be thinking about you... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm glad to hear that you had a good appt and that your dr's bedside manner was so great (so many other ladies are having such difficulties with their drs)

Re: Seeing the doctor tomorrow (UPDATED)

I am so happy to read that your doctor's appointment went so well and that he was so compassionate and wonderful towards you - this restores my faith somewhat in doctors, and you certainly deserve as much!!

It sounds as though you feel a little better after having this discussion and knowing a bit more about what will happen once you and your DH begin TTC again, and it sounds like this doctor has a wonderful outlook and a great approach. I am so happy for you that this was a positive experience todayChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It restored my faith a bit in doctors also. I have to say, he really is a wonderful man. I'm glad I decided to go back to him for my check up. Now I'll know he will deliver any other's if I am lucky enough!!!
