IN my desk I have:
envelopes
files
paper clips
stamps
tape
receipt book
GUM
pens ( a lot of pens)
highlighters
deposit tickets for the bank
my purse
snacks (crackers and such)
tissues
tums
petty cash
If I open a drawer and find something I didn't write, I'll let you know.

I have lots of plastic spoons. It's like I unwittingly stockpile them!!
I have a "desk emergency kit": moisturizer, lipstick, concealer, tampon, razor, spare pantyhose, brush, nail file, band-aid, safety pins, hair elastics.
And a food drawer with tons of snacks. Then piles of files!!

clear nail polish
a jar of candy

my desk. Oh well!

What an appropriate question for today - the last day of the semester. My desk was a total mess so I opened one of the drawers and pushed everything in.
So, in answer to your question: My desk drawers are now full of papers that college students did not feel were important enough to pick up. They will be in there until August when I go in and put them in the circular file.

Nothing relating to "work" - all related to EATING - oreo's, chips a hoy, pringles, m&m's, combos, twix, and the list goes on and on!

I have two desks for the different jobs I do.
One desk I share with 3 people. In it, we have hand wipes, a sewing kit, wite out, maxi pads motrin, paper clips, post its, pens, dry erase markers, folders, staples, and some other things I can't remember.
In my other desk it is only me and I am only there 12 hrs a week. I have paper clips, post its, staples, push pins, a pen and folders for the clients I have helped.

Wow I wish I sat next to you! 
I have oatmeal, a box of cup of soup, some files and papers that I never look at and a sweater in case I'm cold.
