Tipping Question for the Japanese Straightening
I'm having my hair straighted and a cut tomorrow and it's going to cost me about $500...what should I tip?

That sounds about right. Standard tipping applies. They will be spending A LOT of time on your hair.

mine cost $200 and came out better then any time I paid more then that
but you still need to tip 20% IMO

It's a lot but Im having a cut and color too - well maybe not the highlights I havent decided. I have gift certificates for $300 to this salon because its where I always go. The guy doing it is the owner and does a great job (Ive seen his work). I know its a lot but hes been doing my hair for years.
Since he owns the salon do you still think I should tip 20%?

I would NOT get the JHS and a color at the same time. I think the waiting time is at least two weeks between the two.

I agree- I can't imagine any hair stylist would do the 2 together any way

Thats what I was thinking...so I didnt know for sure. But def getting a cut.
