Restuarant Recommendation - NYC
DH and I have an appointment this afternoon -- 5th Ave & 38th. Can anyone recommend a restaurant between here and Penn Station for a nice dinner?? Doesn't have to be fancy, and I am love ethnic places...any suggestions? We don't want to take a taxi or subway tho otherwise I'd go to one of my favorite places.
TIA...

If you like Mexican... Blockheads is a fav of mine and it's very reasonably priced. There is one on 34th Street and 3rd Ave (Murray Hill) You'd just have to walk 2 ave's out of your way. But it's worth it! They have yummy burritos and margaritas!

I have eaten there too and it is good. DH used to work near there - there are actually some good restaurants on 3rd - a mexican place, some indian food places, but I don't know how far you want to walk.
ETA: Kara, I just checked, I think it is 2nd Avenue I am thinking of, around 33rd.

Re: Restuarant Recommendation - NYC
Eh it's not the walking -- It's getting DH out of work early, then sitting in a Dr.'s office, having dinner, and getting back home so he can get in a few ore hours of work before getting the 6:40 train the next morning --- so more like a save-time issue...
Thanks, keep 'em coming!! Thinking about Asia de Cuba....

Re: Restuarant Recommendation - NYC
I made a reservation for 6pm -- but if we are going to be late, maybe we will go to a little French place right across the street....
I will look for you!

actually, you would have to walk 4 avenues (Madison, Park, Lex, 3rd) and it would be WELL worth the walk. LOVE Blockheads. Have the peach Margarita
