Good xmas gift Idea from my mil? What do you think?
So my mil is OBSESSED with lenox. Its really the only thing any of her kids ever buy her b/c its the only thing she will like 
Every year she has a big xmas party at her house with everyone in the family.
I was thinking of buying this lenox serving piece and putting like pastries on one, cookies on another, and all rainbow cookies on another ( my fil's favorite)
and wrapping it up in cellophane and bringing it over early the day of the party as her xmas gift.
What do you guys think? Should I get a xmas pattern or plain ? She only has big parties at xmas time but the plain she can use for anything  Image Attachment(s):

it's very nice, AND just to let you know, I saw tons of that piece, first quality, at the Lenox Outlet. It's overstock from last year, but it's definitely first quality. I picked one up for my aunt, and I got a halloween server for my FMIL ($15!!!)

It is a great gift idea and I would probably try to go for a more general pattern so that she could get more use out of it.

I agree! cause if it were me being practical, I would probably buy the plain ol' general server for myself.
But would love to receive the Christmas pattern as a gift... something I would never do for myself.

I think it's a good idea. Does she have any other pieces with the Xmas pattern? If so, then definitely get that one...if not, either one would be fine.

That's a great idea, that's my mother's Christmas china, she has all the pieces, I try to get her something she doesn't have but it's hard.

Very Nice!! I would go with Christmas pattern too. My mom has a set and even though it can only be used for a short time each year, she loves it.
