reflux and babies
I think Sara has reflux. Does anyone else have a baby with this? If so what are their symptoms? How does the baby act act what soes he or she do with their little bodies when they are aggitated? thank you.
Also what is the hypo allergenic formula ?>

Oh yes one more thing, I am using Mylanta now if that doesnt work then we switch formula

Katie has reflux, she is much better now and she is on Zantac.
Her symptoms were crying and arching her back while she was eating, spitting up all the time, and choking on spit up when we put her on her back.
We tried mylanta too, it helped but not completely so we started the zantac.
My ped said changing the formula probably wouldn't help, but I tried one bottle of soy and she threw it up everywhere.
We finally put her on lactose free and it seemed to help alot. Also we found she digests the rtf better than the powder.

Steven has reflux also. He has been on Zantac since he was about a month old. My neighbor who is a pediatric ICU nurse at Scheinder's actually diagnosed it because Steven always had a little formula in his mouth when she came to visit eventhough he didn't just eat! Other symptoms are spiiting up a lot and crying. None of the over the counter formulas worked for us- and we tried them ALL so we use a presrciption only formula and it worked wonders. The best part is my insurance company covers it AND delivers it to my door

I think that Sara has it. She sspits up every feeding and stiffens up about an hour afterwards - burps again and spits up again. Doc said try Mylanta then we can switch formula she is already on Soy.

How about Alimentium from Similac - it help help with colic and reflux.
Julia was put on it because she has a milk allergy - im wondering if this may help Sara?
