Would you ever buy a house sight unseen?
my sister and husband live out of state and plan on moving back to the island in the fall. both my parents and i went to an open house recently and all loved the house. based on the description we provided and pics that i took, they made an offer (sight unseen) and long story short, they got the house.
i am SO happy for them but also nervous that they might not love the house as much as we do.
but then again, how could one NOT love this kitchen?
would you ever purchase sight unseen?

Honestly if people I trusted insisted that the house was nice and the price was right, I definately would. Besides, you can always change the aspects you don't like

My mother did last year...she bought a condo in Florida based on pictures the realtor sent her and her brother's recommendation. There were a few things she was not crazy about but nothing terrible or that could not be changed.

I have to agree and say that it depends on who is doing the looking.
ALSO I would require ALOT Of pictures and a video.

Maybe, if people I trusted went and looked at it VERY thoroughly and felt confident about it. It is a beautiful house. Good luck to them!

If I saw enough pictures, had an engineers report , yes I might. We have a lot of people in our family like a contractor, a plumber and 2 real estate appraisers...I would have them look at it and trust them

I would need pics, floor plan, people I trust going to see it - especially my dad, structural survey, etc, etc.
But I think I could...that's a beautiful kitchen!
