Vent!!! Anyone going to the poorhouse because of work-related holiday events?
Ugh!!! Our school's holiday party is a "must attend" - it's $50 a person on a Friday at 4 pm. Open bar - big whoop - I don't drink. Also, we all have to contribute another $50 to the secretaries gifts. They get like HUGE gift card amounts. And, there is a baby shower and retirement party coming up in my office!!

Nope...I work alone...no party, no gifts, no nothing. Although I always send gifts to the support staff in the FL office, they don't send anything to me....

we don't do much - a $20 secret santa, and a gift for the owners. Last year we chipped in about $20 a piece for them.
Hey, when it come to the office, you hafta to give what ya get....and it's not much.

I am in that club. Between the car repairs, the mortgage and bills things will be small this year.

Welcome to my world Michal. Between babys and bridal showers, the holiday party, my nnual dues, colelctions for flowers for someone whose relative died, my secretary gifts (whihc i dont mind because they are your BEST Friend) Its draining my wallet!!
