had my first scan today
My first "official" one will be next Friday, but my friend worls in a woman's imaging office and did a quick scan on me today. I thought I was 6w4d and it turns out I'm 6w2d. We saw the baby and the fluttering on the heart. It was so cool. The heart rate is 130, which my friend said is really good.
I feel a little bad that I went without DH, but for some reason I got really nervous today because most of the time I don't "feel" pregnant and I just wanted to make sure everything was ok in there. I know it's a little mean, but I don't think I'm going to tell DH I went today. I don't want him to feel like I'm leaving him out of anything. I'll just let him think next week is the first scan. And it will actually be a better scan because it will probably be internal and show a lot more.

That's awesome! I am so nuts that if I had a friend who worked there, I'd go once a week 
When I went for my sono I though I was 7weeks exactly and the tech said it was measuring 6 weeks and 5 days. She said the machines can be off by as much as a week and the discrepancy was not enough to change my due date.
Congrats again! It's so exciting!
