Question for you Mom's...re: colostrum/discharge from BBs
Did any of yuo have a discharge from your breasts before the baby was born? What did it look like (sorry for TMI), but I have a discharge and I thought maybe it was colostrum but I read that the colostrum won't start til after the baby is born! So now I'm worried.

I had a very tiny bit- It was clear.
ETA: A friend of mine had quite a bit- more the consistency of milk.

I just did a little more research and read that your breasts start to produce colostrum in the 2nd trimester and you can have discharge from it - I feel better but going to ask my doctor on Wednesday to make sure. Thanks girls!

Colostrum is clear and sticky. You can have it before the baby is born, its normal

I did! My boobs started to leak a bit in the 3rd trimester - it was yellow in color and it was colostrum

I've had this since about 4 months. The doctor said it is colostrum, and it's normal.

I did too from about 34 weeks on. TMI??-The weird thing was my L side was always more and that's the side that produced more when I started to BF/pump.

No, no pain at all. I'm thinking it's normal but there are so many things going on with my body that I just wanted to make sure it was normal. It is yellowish in color. My poor BBs...LOL first they are so sore, then they look like road maps with all the veins and then my nipples look like silver dollar sized pancakes...and now this.
