Registry Question---Crib bedding/Stroller/Playpen

Hi Everyone !!
I started registering online and went to the store yesterday. I'm pretty much finished with the exception of the major items. I'm having such a hard time picking a few items. For example, the crib bedding, I went to the BRU and I didn't like any of the beddings there. They either had too much blue(not sure if you know what I mean) or the ones that I liked didn't have the colors that I was looking for. Can you show me which one you chose and if you got them somewhere else...where did you get it?
Also, I'm trying to match the stroller with the playpen etc and I'd like the features that one playpen has but not the colors or the fabric and then it'd not match the stroller fabrics either....
How did you choose yours?

We didn't like anything we found in BBB or BRU either. We wound up purchasing the bedding ourselves off of ebay. It would have been nice for someone to buy it for us, but we would rather have exactly what we wanted than something we weren't crazy about.

I'll answer in backwards order. I chose my stroller first and went with a BumbleRide, so that eliminated the problem of matching the patterns. IMHO, you will not be lugging your playpen around every time you use your stroller, so it's not a big deal if they don't match. I got a PnP that looked better in the house and matched best with my living room, because that's where it will be most of the time anyway.

As far as the bedding, I really didn't like anything from Babies R Us. DH and I really like the blue/brown color scheme and we got most things with that. The stroller, the PnP, the bedding. So, even though they are not all the same pattern, they are all blue and brown.

Here is the bedding that we chose. We did not get the wall border or the pillows. I ordered it from www.babysupermall.com. We bought it ourselves.

I would definately say pick the features on your playpen over the fabric (unless it is absolutely hideous). Have you checked out the bedding at Buy Buy Baby? I liked their bedding better, but in the end we went with Zanzibar (a safari theme) at Babies R Us. I really didn't worry about matching things and picked features/brands first over matching items. The only things that will match for me will be the Pack N Play and the high-chair.

I did not really worry about matching my stroller to my pack and play .. in fact, I honestly do not see why they need to match anyhow. As it turns out, though, we did actually choose the same pattern for both (I got the Graco Travel System in Oakwood and the Pack n Play by Graco with the same pattern)




As for bedding, I did not care for anything BRU had either. We found this bedding a long time ago and I decided I would use it for either a boy or girl - if it was a girl I would have painted the room yellow,but since its a boy we will be emphasizing the blues... we ordered it from Target but its also available on other sites online:

None of my stuff matches, except my infant seats stroller.
My pack n play and high chairs does NOT match at all.
My bedding is discontinued, so I cant find a pic of it for you

My bedding is from babycenter.com and its also on taget's website- its called Fiji and is lavender and green. I just got the 4 piece set yesterday and I love the pattern, bumper and dust ruffle, but the sheet was not soft enough. So I am going to just get the crib sheet at Pottery Barn- their bedding is so soft.

I went with the original baby jogger in black so it doesn't match my pack n play.

my stuff diesbn't match eithe r- we got the graco g collection high chair (kinda goes with our kitchen), peg perego pliko p3 stroller, a graco sheep pack-n-play and a grco car seat and snugrider for when she is little.....i love things to match but after reviewing safety and seeing the options dh and I wanted (we are tall) we wound up with the "un-matched" set!

Thanks so much for your input Ladies !!
I actually liked a few of the bedding from Pottery Barn Kids so I'd probably get it from there. I also like the idea of matching the blue/brown/beige...not sure which one we'd pick yet.
I hope I don't have to take around the playpen and the stroller at the same time but I'm anal at times and wanted things to match....to sort of having an uniform look but I guess it does help that I wasn't the only one who wasn't crazy about the bedding about BRU.
And I'm definitely also about safety. I find that the Consumers Report website has definitely helped in the products that I've picked. I prefer safety at all times but it's nice when you have safety, nice features and things kind of match a little bit. Maybe I should start a business in regards to this....

My things dont match either b/c I used Baby Bargains guide for high chair and went with Chicco Polly, Bumbleride stroller, and Baby Trend Malwali Pack n Play b/c the colors are very soft and not abrasive (altho a little more blue than I'd prefer)

As for bedding, didnt find anything at BRU that i liked and everything at BBB was $$$$$$ that I loved so DH picked it out. It was just discontinued though so we're getting some of the pieces of ebay. How much are you looking to spend on bedding? There are some sahms on ebay that do custom that is beautiful. (about $300 and up)
