Well, I OFFICIALLY go back to work on Tuesday.
I'm having mixed emotions about it. On the one hand, it really doesn't feel any different than any other September. I feel like the timing of my pregnancy worked out so well. It's nice to know that EVERYONE is coming back from beig off for 12 weeks, not just me But on the other hand, I feel like Ava and I JUST started to really get a good groove going. I do feel very fortunate that JT will be the one home with her and that I will get her in the evenings all to myself, but I'm also a little jealous that he gets to be with her all day
But overall, I'm excited to go back and get back into the swing of things. I'm taking over our entire music program this year, and it's going to be a really hard year for me. I think I'm way more scared about that than about leaving the baby. At least I know she'll be in good hands

aw, I always think of it as a "little break"
Sometimes I am actually thankful to go to the office and get out of the "routine"
I would be very thankful she is home with your husband, it will make it a bit easier

One thing I immediately felt upon returning, is normal again. Though I miss DS dearly, it's refreshing to get have a lil routine again.
You'll be more than fine, and you'll be surprised just how quick you pick up on everything again.

Thanks girls JT took the entire month of September off for his paternity leave so he can help make the transition a little easier for me. I am very excited to have that "normal" feeling again, though. And I already find Ava fitting into my definition of normal. It's nice. I brought her to my classroom yesterday so I could do some things, and it just felt like I've always had her.

It will be wonderful knowing you don't have to worry about who is watching your child. It will also be wonderful spending all that time w/ her in the evening. It's really the best of both worlds.
