Spinoff: Dinner
between work, studying, gym, business functions, DH and i only get to eat together a few times a week (not incl wknds). and even when we do we tend to fend for ourselves (like each make something quick instead of having the same thing) since neither of us have the time to cook a big meal. sometimes i feel guilty but we're both so busy and neither of really care that much about dinner to put forth much effort. just wondering how many others are in the same situation...

The only meals we eat together are on the weekends, sometimes we can manage dinner on Friday night. DH goes to school in the evening.

We go through cycles. We were never really formal dinner eaters with our own families, but we've been trying really hard to eat together. I just think it's important to slow down, and sit down and eat together. Even if it's not something that was a huge preparation.

Here too. We both get home at different times from working out, school and work. On Sundays I usually make a TON of chicken and we eat that leftover a lot for lunch and dinner during the week.

We eat dinner together most nights, unless one of has plans to go out with friends. I have a tendency to go out with coworkers every once in awhile.

We eat dinner together most nights, even if it is something lame, like sandwiches. 
It takes a lot of time to prepare, cook and clean up after and this is why I love leftovers (see the other thread )

Dh and I both are really busy between classes and him working late...but Dh really thinks dinner time is important. I would say most weeks we eat a meal that we cook together 6-7 nights a week. We rarely eat separate things, and we always sit together.

DH doesn't get home from work until 9:30-10pm, so we don't eat together during the week. But every Saturday and Sunday we eat all our meals together to make up for it!
My mom comes over 2-3 nights during the week to have dinner with Sarah and I.

DH also works late and comes home from CT so, he is really tired... we do eat together MOST of the time though.....

Most nights we eat together -- the exceptions are if I work late or meet friends or if he has a meeting or something.

DH has class 4 nights a week, so we usually eat together on the weekends and nights he doesn't have class.
