What should a male teacher wear the first day of a new job?
DH starts a new teaching job soon and his wondering what he should be wearing. Shirt and tie? Dress pants and sweater? Suit? any suggestions would be helpful!

I would say button down shirt and tie. That is pretty much how all the male teachers in my school dress.

I think it depends on quite a few things. Different schools have different policies. Also what level is he teaching and what subject? For instance, if he's the PE teacher, a suit probably wouldn't be the right thing

That is what all of the new male teachers wear in my building- shirt, tie, dress slacks.

Rich wears dress pants, a shirt and tie everyday.
Colorful shirts and fun ties are always fan favorites!
