Do you eat mexican food?
I read not to eat it bc of some mex. cheeses are bad and may cause listeria. It said it may be in nacho's etc. I had it on friday and have been freaking out ever since ( i didnt read that until AFTER i had the mexican)

I have eaten mexican food at restaurants, and many times craved that oh so bad for you taco bell. I have never heard of this one.
I always have just cheddar on everything, as well as sour cream.
I wouldn't worry. Listeria is a by product of foods non pastueurized or left at a warm temp where it could grow if it sits.
Try not to freak

All the time, at least once a week. in my first pregnancy, I craved Taco Bell like you wouldn't believe. If I remember correctly, we had Mexican the night before I had Andrew

I think listeria is on unpasterized cheeses- anything in nachos- like cheddar or mont. jack would be pasturized. On top of it- it's usually melted- so that cooking would kill any bacteria.
I LOVE nachos- just had them Friday.

I love Mexican and have eaten it quite a but throughout my pregnancy, Dr never said to avoid it - this is the first I am hearing of this so I wouldnt worry :)

I ate a lot of mexican food, but I just had the basic chedder cheese, and my DD is fine and healthy.  If your nervous call your doctor.

I probably had it every week when I was pregnant until I got GD!! You have to avoid unpasturized cheese and most cheese at Mexican are and if not they are probably cooked - which makes them safe. I would be cautious in Mexico eating uncooked cheese if I didn't know what it was.
