How much is a private room at NS Manhasset?

I gave birth at LIJ, but they're affiliated. LIJ wanted $300 a night. I asked for a private room but didn't get it as there were 25 babies born the same day as my son The mat ward was PACKED!!

Thanks, I thought it was something crazy like that.
I shared a room last time and my roommate left a lot to be desired. She insisted that her huuby sleep there every night and all they did was argue all night. Plus she was severely hemmoraging, so every time 15-30 mins they were checking on her, and if it was a new nurse she told her whole long (30+ mins) story again. I'd just be dozing off and WHAM the lights go on and she'd start yammering away again. Ugh.
I want to try to be well rested coming home this time, since I'll have Sarah looking for some attention as well as the new baby.

i delivered at Mann. I would pay the extra 300 if i were to go back there. The day that my daughter was born there was a record breaking # of births and at one point we had 4 women in 1 room(usually holds 2) It was horrible!

My cousin just delivered at NS in Manhasset last week. It was $300 a night.

same here. The nurse told me I was in competition with a girl next door and she was dialated the same amount. Well an hour later we heard a crying baby and we asked another nurse if it was the girl next door and she sais yes...me, my sister, and DH were like, "B!tch" and the nurse looked shocked. She didn't understand we were just joking at first...well, not really. 5 hours later I wound up in a four person room--but there were only two of us.
LOL.
Yeah I got stuck in a 4 person room too. But there were only 2 other women with me and thankfully they were great and CLEAN (which was the most impt to me )
Also, I don't think LIJ allow fathers to stay if you're in a more than one person room. When I went for the hosp tour they even mentioned that they don't like fathers sleeping in the private rooms.
ETA: Sorry I forgot you were delivering at NS so the above about the fathers may not apply there.

my sister in law had a baby yesterday at NS Manhasset. she said the rooms by themselves are $300 and she chose the one with someone else instead. i delivered at LIJ in Huntington and got my own room, i enjoyed my privacy.
