Neocate formula users??

It costs a small fortune!! I just ordered it for her, its out newest try for formula to help her.

Kathy - I have an unopened can if you want it. I live in your area so I can drop it off if you'd like.

For Jack it didn't work - it made him worse. I won't even discuss the week I had with him on it - it was that bad. The gastro wanted me to keep him on it but I made an executive decision and took him off and put him back on the Nutramigen along with Axid and he's a new kid. For the first time in 6 months he's sleeping through the night.

My theory was that for the amount of money this stuff cost it better be a miracle formula. It didn't work so I said forget it. My insurance would not cover it either so between the cost and how Jack reacted it wasn't worth it to me. Like I said above - the Nutramigen and the Axid work great for him. I *finally* have a happy kid.

You can get it off Ebay if it ends up working and also can order by the case directly from the manufacturer and save a little bit that way as well.

Kathy - I actually have 2 cans.......they're yours....let me know and I'll very happily drop them off.

I feel for you - I've been through the colic and the whole 9. I promise it will pass and your daughter will be better soon.

Kathy-You have Oxford right? CALL them...

We cover all nutritional formulas with a Dr's note.

It is sometimes an issue but if you dont get it taken care of in one month, ask for a SUPERVISOR.

You should NOT be paying for it...well you will probably pay for it , send in the receipts and get reimbursed.

LEt me know what they say when you call , and I can tell you what to do ok???

Kathy- I swear by Neocate!!! My son became a totally new baby once we started using it!!!!!!

My husband dropped the prescription off at CVS and by the time he got home they had called to say it would be $199 for a case of 4 cans and that my insurance didn't cover it and did we still want them to order it? As I looked at the screaming baby in my arms I said of course we wanted and NEEDED it! First I was upset that we'd have to wait until they ordered it so I went to the company website and tried to see what pharmacies carried it. Most were in upstate NY. Then I was furious that my ins didn't cover it since it was a prescription! Of course it's Friday night and I have to wait until Monday morning. When I called on Monday they told me that there was a woman in charge of just infant formulas!!! Who would have guessed. Well first she tells me they will cover it but only if I get it through their ins co. Since I had already seen what pharmacies carried it NY I figured they were going to tell me I had to go upstate to get it. When I tell her I don't care where I have to go to get it she says "Oh no! We HAVE to deliver it to your house"!!!! I was so excited. It's FREE, your delivering it to me AND it makes my son FEEL GOOd- it doesn't get any better!

Donna - No I dont have Oxford anymore (GOD I wish I did) we're under DHs insurance now, and it is TERRIBLE!

I ordered the formula this morning direct from the company - a case and fed ex shipping for a little over $150 (its about $40 per 14 oz can of powder).

For this price they better be sending someone along with the formula to FEED her!

At this point, I'd pay about anything to get something that makes a difference in Katie.

I shold get the formula tomorrow and I'll let you guys know. Katie reacts fast - within 24 hrs - to new formula so cross your fingers for me.

THANK YOU all again for everything. I cant say it enough, I need this board for this very reason - to vent and get support. Thank you so much.

PS Forgot to say, I'm sorry I havent been online much lately to reply to all of the other posts - I wish I could be, but the demands of Motherhood dont allow me much time for myself right now. Hopefully things will change (with this formula)!
