VW owners, or people who have lojack
Do you ever have a battery problem? I'm SO frustrated. My battery always dies. I drove it to upper manhattan and back on Saturday and my mom went to drive it this morning and it was dead. I mean, ***, man! It always happens. I don't know if it's a VW thing, or if lojack drains the battery? Any insight?
it's not the battery. I already repalced the battery, it didn't really help the problem.
And this is WORSE in the winter

From experience...I doubt its a VW thing. Maybe they installed a faulty lojack system or battery in your car.

It's not the battery. The car is 6 years old, this is the 2nd or 3rd battery.
Do you think it could be lojack?
I have no reason to believe there's anything wrong with my lojack or lojack has nything to do with it, but someone said lojack draws a lot of "juice"

I have lojack and have no battery problems in my 2004 Xterra.
ETA: my FH has a 2000 Mustang with lojack and i dont think he has replaced the battery yet

it really stinks. right now ym car is in the garage, and I can't even get to the hood to jump it

My DH thinks you may have a problem with your alternator, unrelated to LoJack.

it definitley sounds like an isolated issue..isolated to your car  . the only trouble i have had with the vw is how quiet the engine is. i end up trying to start the car when its already on and it makes a scary noise.

Alternator! Thanks. I will check it out.
If I just say "my battery keeps dying" they won't listen, but if I ask them to check the alternator, they may actually do something

VW stinks.
Me & DH had a Golf, a Jetta and a Passat in the past and we've finally learned our lessons.
NO MORE VW for us.
Battery problems for us were a regular occurance.

I have a VW and my car died infront of my house once and also other things related to the battery have stopped working at times...I HATE THAT FREAKIN CAR

My car is within the range of years with known electrical problems. 
I still love my car, and we still bought another VW.

I kept getting a dead battery..... my car guy checked it out and traced it back to a short in the trunk light.... it was staying on all the time (I'm hoping he didn't shove someone in the trunk and they told him about it  ).

I have a VW Passat and have never had any problems with it in the 2+ years I've had it. Definitely have the alternator checked.
