mattress question...

our mattress is getting "sink holes" It is sinking in the spots where i lay and where my DH sleeps. Is there anything i can do other than buy a new mattress?
What about a mattress pad? Will that help?
Thanks

Re: mattress question...

you may want to try a peice of thin ply wood so give it some support...

mattress pad will just sink as well as its not meant to harden the top of the bed.

how old is the bed?

Re: mattress question...

I think you need a new mattress. It sounds like the springs are shot.

DH & I had the same problem with ours...It was time for a new one! We just bought all new bedroom furniture and mattress last week. We're dying to get it!Chat Icon

You could try flipping it over and turning it so the foot is at the head.

Re: mattress question...

This is happening to ours too. It's less than 2 years old. I contacted Serta and just filled out a complaint form. There is no support left! Hoping we get a new mattress.

This happened to us before too, but at the time it was still under the stores warranty and we got a new mattress.

Re: mattress question...

dont get me started on mattresses, we had 3 within the first 8 months of getting our bed, it was crazy - we ended up with a king koil, the only one that didnt sink in the middle after 2 months! Chat Icon

That's exactly what happened to me. I bought a really expensive Sterns and Foster pillowtop mattress and it started to sag on the ends. I also ended up with a King Koil, which is also a pillowtop and we luv it! (Was also more money than our first mattress)
