Repost-Anyone know good pt job at night?
I currently work ft with 2 kids and would really like to quit and work something at night 6-10, 7-11, etc. because I am getting no where in my current job. My dh can get medical for us for free (my main concern) but I don't know if we can cut it financially. I would have to save for my own retirement if I quit. I don't even know where I would start. I work in an office environment now and would like to do the same but don't know if there are places that hire for those hours.

I don't really know of any specific offices that hire 2nd shift like that, but retail would definitely be one avenue where you could maintain those hours, especially withe holiday hiring season about to start.
How about ushering at a theatre or tutoring?

a lot of civill service jobs have split shifts...like at police departments, etc....
they give different tests all the time...it takes a while to take a test, get a grade and get hired, but it's worth it for the medical and retirement, and some of the school districts and libraries hire part time.....it's not an immediate fix but it couldn't hurt, the rule of thumb is to take any and all tests that you meet the requirements for, you never know what will pop up....

A lot of offices have data entry positions that can be done in the evening (I know my mom's does), try looking in the Pennysaver.

Billing, Lawyers, Data Entry, Hotels - all have night shifts.

If you want to continue working with children between the hours of 3-8:30 and you can work Sat. or Sun. as well between 9-3..FM me and I will tell you where.

What about Cablevision customer service? I think my cousin's wife did/does that with those type of hours.
