Gas that wakes the baby up at night....

I think Alyson is not sleeping more/better because of gas. She kicks, balls up, and now cries almost every time she farts (and burps sometimes).

She is on Soy formula and the last 2 nights we gave her Mylicon before bed and she JUST happened to go ALL night without a bottle!!

Emma had horrible gas for the first 10 weeks of her life.
We started out on Similac w/iron - Her bowel movements had blood in them, and she would cry hysterically at every feeding.
We then switched to Prosobee Soy by Enfamil - She was ok (even a little better than the Similac w/iron) but then she got really bad with gas, and started crying hysterically at every feeding.
I read that if your baby has a milk allergy she will probably also have a Soy allergy.
She has been on Nutramigen since 10 weeks old and is like a different baby. She has regular and consistent bowel movements, and no longer has that horrible gas that was waking up at night.

Mylicon didn't really do anything to help her.

I've found that if you use the mylicon consistently it works better... if you use it sporadically it isn't as effective. Also, try putting her on her side to sleep... it helps with the gas
