Spin off to cruise question
Sorry to hijack but I noticed that a couple of you commented that you had to adjust your excursions in order to cruise while pregnant.
Can you elaborate on this?
We are going in Nov and since we don't know if we will be pregnant by then it is something I have to consider.
We are planning on doing catamaran/beach snorkling tours. Will I have a problem with those? What should I avoid?

I would think you would be fine with those tours. You will probably need to skip any speed boat type of things and horseback riding- assuming these are things you don't normally do. If you're stopping in Florida I would skip amusement parks because you'll be limited as to what rides you can go on.

Re: Spin off to cruise question
I went on a cruise- I think I was 8 or 10 weeks pregnant? I didn't drink, go in the hottub and i didn't jet ski or anything like that- I was queasy a lot- not from being on the ship- just normal pregnancy queasiness- so in some ways I didn't enjoy it as much as i would've if I wasn't pregnant- aslo, I didn't want to eat all of the good stuff available! But, DH and i relaxed and it was very nice.

Re: Spin off to cruise question
I don't plan on doing the horseback riding or the speed boats. I already guessed about the no hot tub and I have already been cutting out alcohol so I guess it will be lots of water and some of thoe yummy virgin frozen drinks...LOL.
The catamarans and the beach are okay? I wasn't sure as I see people say that you should watch your sun. I planned on bring extra 50 spf suntan lotion and a ton of water to avoid dehydration. This is all assuming I am pregnant by then (which we are praying for).

Re: Spin off to cruise question
I was 23 weeks on my cruise and I layed out every day (and layed out lots through out the summer.) I wore 30SPF and gaged my skin. The sun didn't really bother me any more than it normally would have and I was fine with 15SPF by the end.
