I am no help- my dad always returns what I get him and buys golf balls- so 5 years ago my Mom said don't buy hom anything anymore- and I don't
I tried to buy him Tivo for last x-mass and he wouldn't accept it- so I kept it- he is getting a card

my parents are going on a cruise so i went to town in marshalls
i got him 2 hawaiian shirt, seabago boat shoes, flip flops and a pair of ralph lauren shorts

I ordered Dad an 18x24 canvas from Winkflash (you know all about those!). I used a pic that he took while on vacation in Venice.
I bought a frame from Michael's (the kind with no glass or backing), and for $10, Michael's will mount it to the frame, attach the hang kit, bumpers, and paper backing.
 He's going to love it.
I have NO CLUE what to get FIL. He's a very ungrateful person, so there's a 99% chance he won't like/want/need anything I buy.

I made my father a basket full of his favorite foods, and for FIL we got him a huge car washing kit thing with a backpack holder and seat to sit on when you wash it with brushes and soap, etc. (he loves washing his car) along with a tshirt and boxers with a fishing theme.

I think we will get him a GC to Christopher John Salon in Sayville for a massage. We got him that a few years ago, and my mom said he loved it, so I think it's time for a repeat.

I'm a huge fan of Gift Certificates... even though they can get boring my Dad loves getting them....
I've gotten him ones for Home Depot, Best Buy, Auto Barn, Applebees, Pomodorino's...my Mom likes when I get him restaurant gift certificates because then she benefits from them too

We got my dad stuff for the barbeque, b/c he loves grilling. We're getting FIL something for his video camera (that's DH's department).
