Carpenter? Floor person?
Hi everyone! We are in the process of buying a house. The house needs some work - here is a list:
1. Hardwood Floors need to be sanded down and refinished. 2. Hardwood Floors need to be installed in the family room. 3. A doorway needs to be widened between the family room and living room. 4. In two rooms, old wood paneling needs to be torn down and regular sheetrock put in. 5. Decorative beams in the family room need to be torn down, and the cieling and/or high hats may need to be replaced. 6. Crown Moldings/Wainscotting need to be installed throughout the house. 7. The whole house needs to be painted and wall papered.
I have the names of people that do these tasks individually, however I was wondering if there is one or two people that I could call that might be able to do ALL of this. I dont want to get stuck calling a floor person, a carpenter, a painter, a wall person, someone that does crown molding etc. I also don't want to have to pay for a general contractor, because if it comes down to it I will just coordinate all of the other people myself. I was just wondering if anyone new a group of people that did most if not all of this type of work. Hope this makes sense and I hope someone can help!

Re: Carpenter? Floor person?
Carpenter should be able to do all the wall work, I would make sure I use someone who knows how to work wood floors.
