my god daughter had a seizure tonight...*Update*
she had a temp of 105.8 when they got her to the hospital, she is only 1 and a half years old she is ok for now, they did discharge her and tomorrow i am taking her and her mom to the peds doc to have her looked at. please say a prayer that it was only the high temp that caused it and nothing else
i just got back from taking her to the docs and they feel it was just because of her high fever and maybe just maybe rosiollia(sp) they say it may happen again but they are not sure. her fever is almost all gone today, 99.4 when she was at the doc. thanks all for your prayers! and well wishes

Febril seizures are common (still scary though)

don't worry Janet - this is actually common for babies when the get fevers. this happened to my niece a few weeks ago, she is 1 too. and she is fine.
Im sure your goddaughter will be ok!

that i am not too sure, the hospital was packed last night so i was not there, plus it was where keith was,(she did not want to worry me unless she had too). they discharged her with 102 fever though. thanks everyone i feel a little better knowing that this is common but i am still worried a little

Glad to hear that this may just be a one time thing. Hopefully she'll be feeling better and her fever will be completely gone in a day or two.
