Any job coaches / career counselors out there?
My little sister is having a hard time finding a job. She has a Master's in Library Science but all the library jobs out there are only PT and she needs a FT job with benefits. She's been applying at day care centers because she really likes working with kids but she keeps getting rejected. I know she's not the best at interviews but I just don't know what to do to help her.
At this point she'll take anything as long as it comes with some job training.
Any ideas?

How far out of school is she? Often schools ahve a lot of career resources at the career center and they may be availabe to alumni for a certain period of time, or after that time, for a fee.

How about applying for editorial assistant, etc type positions at publishing houses? or even proofreading? freelance proofreaders make good $$.
