that's not bad for 5 acres in that area- I have seen higher taxes on $1.5M houses in Hewlett

just a thought- percentage wise
that house was almost $5M right- with $48K a year in taxes
which is .009% of the value
on a $400K house with $7K taxes
is .0175%- which is about double
and in Florida at 2% the purchase price- the taxes would be double at $100K a year

It's similar to my sister's kitchen. And she has 4 fireplaces...this house "only" has 3.
