nyc happy hour?
I am new here (november05) but have a question...
Does anyone recommend a bar in the city near Penn Station for Happy Hour on Fridays? I need a place for tomorrow.

Stout on 33rd Street just off Seventh Aveune (headed east) is really good - it's my favorite place right now.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have heard of Stout.
DH and I are going with some friends who are into casual, pub-like places...nothing pretentious. Do you think Stout is good for this? Are there Happy Hour specials?

There is Tracks in Penn Station, next to the ticket booths (which is owned by DH's cousins so if I don't plug it I'm dead  ),
but there is also Stout on 33rd between 6th and 7th which is nice too.

there is a place ti na nog ( irishg pub on 8th aveune. 5 Penn Plaza,
8th Ave At 33rd St
And liek teh girls mentioned.
Tracks, Mustang harrys, Mustang Sallys , Kabooz and TGIF which used to be Charlie O's

There is a place called Under the Volcano in the 30's on the east side that I like a lot. Across the street is the Ginger Man which is also good.

theres also a place called local on i think like 35th street (near the back entrance of penn). never been to that one but theres one in the east 50s thats pretty good.
