I think I might be leaking fluid (repost from pregnancy)
Everytime I sit down I get a little leak of fluid, and it's not the usual CM... it almost looks like I peed my pants (TMI, sorry!), but it doesn't smile like it... I called the Dr. and am waiting for a call back... does this mean I have to go to the hospital, or do I wait for contractions to come on?

Are you Group B+? If so you'd go to the hospital to get on antibiotics. If not, they'll likely tell you to wait at home for a bit.

Nope, thank goodness... ok, so I don't have to worry about rushing to the hospital just yet, whew!

I was told at Lamaze that if your water broke, it would have a sweet smell. Also, to be sure it's not pee, use a pantiliner and if it soaks through rather quickly it's your water. Good luck!

It doesn't smell sweet... it doesn't smell at all and it's totally clear. I did use a pantyliner and it soaked through to the other side just a little... this is so frustrating!!

Not to be totally disgusting, but it really does have a sweet smell. Thats how I knew immediately that mine had broken. Also, it was A LOT of fluid.

It doesn't smell sweet... it doesn't smell at all and it's totally clear. I did use a pantyliner and it soaked through to the other side just a little... this is so frustrating!!
mine didn't have any smell...it was clear fluid...and it didn't gush out it slowly leaked out....call the Dr OFFICE.
for me this was the 1st sign of labor that I had...the contractions didn't come for another 2 hrs...and my that point I was Dialated 2 centimeters...and even though they attempted to stop my labor for a little while...I started contracting again...and dialated to 3 centimeters...no turning back after 2.
my baby was a preemie...and I can't help thinking that if I would have realized that it was my water that broke...I may have been able to hold him in longer
