E-Bay question
how do you determine how much to charge for shipping and handling?
i usually try to find the similar thing on ebay, and go with that, but i was wondering if there was a different or better method? (and i dont have a scale for weighing packages)

if it can fit into a priority envelope, it's always $4.05.

Basically from selling stuff already I got better at guessing. I hate hate hate people who have large shipping costs so I try to really make mine as correct as possible.
i mostly sell books so I tend to know how much it costs....smaller things range from $1.50-$3.50 to ship and larger items like a shoe box size cost like $3.00-$6.00 to ship depending on weight.
basically...I guess....

also, things like books - if you enter the ISBN and let Ebay auto-fill the info, it puts weight in the listing for you. I always use that and it's always accurate.

I think a scale is SO helpful! I usually sell pretty much the same type of stuff so I have a good idea by now. I think shipping priority is the easiest (for the most part). I either just put in the shipping amount if I know I'm pretty accurate or I'll weigh it and put in the weight and it will calculate according to your zip code. I have a cheap scale and it is very accurate. I saw some cheap ones at Radio Shack.
