I don't think you are overreacting.

Tomorrow is going to be the day for celebration -- can't they wait until tomorrow to enjoy themselves? Not to go nuts, but to celebrate his baptism?

I mean I understand that his sister lives in Maryland, right? And he doesn't get to see her all the time, but Ryans christening is a big deal and he needs to make sure he's in the condition to be there.

Maybe I'm off base here and I apologize if I am, but again it just seems like Ryan needs to realize that you and RJ are his FIRST family now, and you guys need to come first.

I'm sorry things have been so rough for you at times Marissa... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I guess for me it would depend on what going to a bar entailed. Does it mean they're coming home at 3am or does it mean they're just going for a few drinks? And if it's just a few drinks, why can't they do that at your place so you get a chance to socialize too. It doesn't have to be some rowdy party but the idea is to spend time together with his sister while she's in town.

I don't think you are overreacting. I personally commend you for having the christening the weekend after Thanksgiving. It must have been an awful lot for you to get done. I don't think it is too much for DH to visit with your SIL at home so you can join in, and also so everybody is in good shape tomorrow. Enjoy the day tomorrow.

BTW - where did you end up getting Ryan's christening outfit? Did your MIL every help you get the crosses finished?
